Vili's Funeral

My mom's oldest brother, Vili, passed away a week or so ago and this week was the funeral. My parents flew down from the Bay area and so was my older sister, Mele, and her kids. The funeral was in SLC. Vili was the oldest of 12 kids. He was never married but to me he was the nicest man. I remembered him to be a very hard working man when he was in Tonga. He loved his sisters so much and especially all the grandkids. My mom side of the families all came from different parts of the world.

Even thought it was a funeral, I was happy to see all my cousins and families. The two things I did for the funeral was preparing Vili's bibliography and put together the program for the viewing. The funeral was packed and there was so much food. Both Danny and I took off work to attend the Friday viewing. It was just a nice time for my mom's side of the family to talk about how they remembered Vili.

The best part was my parents came down from the Bay. My parents had moved up here to the States since last year in August or September and I had been trying to get them out here to Utah. Their excuses were "its too cold" and "we hate snow." But it was nice to finally see them and they will stay with us for a couple of weeks.
