Our first vist was to the city. Danny, Malik, and I and my brother Soni all took the train to the city. It was a fun yet crazy experience. Danny and I had never taken a train before so we were excited for this new experience. We were dropped off at Manukau station by my sister. We got there, read the "English but Foreign" instruction by the station and still didn't know which direction we should go. So we asked a lady who was close by and she was nice enough to point us north. We thanked her and got on the train. Few minutes passed and the train guy came by to collect our fees and asked us where we were heading. I told him we are heading to the city and he told me that we are heading the wrong direction that we should have gone south. He was nice enough not to charge us and told us to get off on the next stop. I thanked him for his help as we got off on the next stop. I turned to Danny and my brother and said, can't anyone here speak English? Danny assured me that everyone speaks English but not American English :). On the next train, I purchased us an "all day passes" just in case we got lost again. As we rode to the city, we passed by several beautiful beaches that were just breath taken.
The city was fun. We walked everywhere and luckily Soni came along because he carried Malik the whole time. We stopped by the All Blacks Store. We checked out the different rugby jersies and accesories but couldn't bring myself to spend that much money. We also went to the sky city and tower. Danny and my brother wanted to go on the rides but I didn't let them. It was too scary!
The next day we went to the only park with rides in New Zealand which is Rainbows End. The weather was still cold but it was fun because there weren't alot of people there. We were able to go on each rides probably 3 times and we went on all the rides in the park. Danny was in heaven. I didn't really care for some of the rides because I don't do good on height but the boys really enjoyed themselves today.
The scariest ride that they have there was the FEAR FALL. It's a ride where it took about 4 people up and I mean way up there ad it just dropped you like a piece of paper. Danny went on it 4 times. It was scary for me to watch. I know I am such a chicken...
My favourite rides were the kids roller coaster, boat rides, and the car track. We had a fun day today even Malik really enjoyed himself.
