Dear son,
I am sorry that it has taken me over a month to finally write your 1 year old letter. I haven't had any time to really blog or done anything other than school and work. But i will try very hard to work on making time for the most important things in life. Well, you are 1 year old today. Your dad and I can't believe how fast the time goes. It felt like it was just yesterday that you were born. Today, your dad and I woke up at 8 or so and my immediate thought was reminiscing about last year. 8 o'clock am last year, I was at the hospital in labor with you. I remembered how painful it was. I was so much in pain with my lower back. I was in labor for about total of 9 hours. I remembered that I almost felt like I was being suffocated because there wasn't enough oxygen for me. The one thing that really helped me was a priesthood blessing that your father game me before we went to the hospital. At 12:59 in the afternoon you were born into this earth. At that very moment, all the pain were gone and I felt reverent and at peace. The moment they put you in my arms, I cried because you were so precious and beautiful. I was so thankful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me and your dad to be parents. Son, we want you to know how much we love you. Our feelings hadn't changed since then and I know it will never change.
For your birthday, we wanted it to be so special and perfect. We both took off a day from work so we can prepare for your little birthday party. Most of your friends from church and your mom and dad's friends came too. The food was good and you had beautiful birthday cakes. Auntie Vai made a gorgeous cake and we got your an ice-cream cake with your picture on it.
You have developed such a cute personalities. You are so friendly. You will go to anyone and gives hugs and kissed to anyone. You haven't walked yet but we know you will soon. It's kinda sad when I see kids your age or a little older walk and run around at church and you just crawl. But I know every kids are different and you will walk soon. You are loving every food. You cry when I am slow at getting your food. Your favourite food is chicken and rice and cereal. You don't like milk or chocolate milk but I hope you do because it will make you strong and healthy. You also like caprisun and your dad buys big bulk from Costco every other week.
Son, I want you to know how much I love you and I know your dad loves you too. He always tells me that he will do anything for you. Every time we at a store, he always makes comment that he will work until he dies just to make sure you have the best life. I know if I let your dad we will go broke because he wants to buy you everything. We just love you and we want the best for you.
As your mom, I want you to know how much I appreciate having you. You have helped me so much. You are my inspiration in going back to school and working hard everyday. I love you and I want you to know how much you joy you bring into our little family.
Love from your mommy,
vika
