9th Month Letter

Dear Son,

It's 9:33pm and I just barely put you to bed and I am tired but I have to write your 9th month letter before I forget. I'm only allowing myself 30 minutes to do this before I go to bed so I will try to make it fast. It's a few days late but I have been so busy with work, home, and especially with you that I haven't had the time to write you. You have grown so much since your last letter. I actually don't know where to begin. You are so different I mean you don't look anything like when you were born. Just the other day I was looking at some of your pictures at the hospital and you do not look anything like it. Your hair has grown so much and you are so chubby and looking more like your dad.

You are so smart now and have developed a little attitude. I laugh at things you do and I will try to write down some of the things you do that just put a big smile on both of our faces. I love wearing big earrings and when I do, you always love to pull on them or try to eat them. It scares me whenever you do this. I would be holding you and as soon as you notice you stand up and try to pull them. The other day I was holding you and you looked up and noticed my big brown earrings and you stood up and tried to pull on my left earrings so I hid it from you, then you immediately looked over to the right side to see if you could pull on the right earrings. I couldn't help but to laugh at how smart you are. I mean you are only 9 months but you have already known that there are 2 earrings. About your little attitude. Now, you are at the age where you cry for everything. I mean if you want something you cry and cry until you get it. I don't mean that you are a brat but it shows that you are developing a little attitude which it's quite funny. For example, today your dad and you dropped me off at work in the morning, like you always do, and you wanted to play with my cell phone but I took it away and gave you a water bottle and a broken cell phone instead and you grabbed both of those things and just threw it away and kept crying for my cell phone. You used to be able not to notice things like that but now you are way too smart for that.

You are crawling everywhere at our house and you can pull yourself up if you are holding on to furnitures. I think you will be walking or close to it before you are one but will see. You hate and I mean you hate when I change your diaper. It has become a "two men" task to change your diaper. It's diffcult because you like to roll around and crawl away when I'm trying to change your diaper. People are still complimenting how happy you are and we love it. You are smiling all the time and laughing. Both your dad and I love tickling you because we love hearing you laugh. You are eating more and more. Every week when you do our groceries shopping half of it are all your food. You are starting to eat whatever your dad and I eat. I just have to make it softer for you but you love it. If you were to pick between eating baby food or "big people" 's food, I know you will pick "big people" food :). You are starting to drink with strawer out of cups and it's cute to watch you do it. You now have 6 teeth. You have 2 at the bottom front and 3 on your top front with one half way out. You have other teeth that are looking like they will coming out soon. It's so cute when you smile. You love to bite anything closer to you especially when I'm holding you. What you do is that you are facing out and I'm holding you to me and you would grab one of my fingers and put it in your mouth and bite it. And, let me tell you they are sharp! But you are still so cute.

Both your dad and I have been able to take you to different birthday parties lately and you just loved it. You enjoy being out at the parks and seeing people. You are such a joy to take. You are growing up so fast. I can't believe about 18 months ago we found out that we were expecting you and now you are here. We love you so much and there is no word that I can put to describe how we feel about you. There's a lot of work to taking care of you but we cherish every minute of it. You haven't really talked but you are making a lot of noises and you love to say your name, "bubbah", over and over again :). Oh, and not forgetting you love to play with your food. I would be feeding you and you would blow your food out at me and laughed. Your dad also thinks this is funny because when you do it, you are both laughing and smiling while I clean up the mess. The other thing you absolute love to do is splashing the water when I am giving you a bath. I think you would love to go swimming but I haven't taken you yet.

Well, there are million of things I could write but I basically just want you to know that I love you so much. I love it when you cuddle with me and when you only want me. I love it when you come visit me at work. I love playing with you and seeing you laugh and smile. I love it when you sleep with me on our big bed and in the middle of the night you would wake up, look around for me, and crawl over and sleep on top of me and of course you do all of these with your eyes half close. And if I put you down next to me or else where you wouldn't go back to sleep until you are on top of me then you would go back to sleep. I just love how loving you are. When I hold you in my arms I hope you will never grow up and have to leave me. Your dad and I have joked about moving to where ever you go to college so we can be close to you...:) Son, we just love you so much and we want nothing but the best for you and we tell you this over and over again as we hold you so hopefully you can feel it. Okay, I just looked up at the clock and it's been hours and I know I had mentioned earlier that I would only allow 30 minutes for this letter. You are just too cute to fit everything on a 30 minutes letter. Well, son I love you so much and so is your dad and hope you know that and we really ejoy having you.

Love always,
your mom

p.s Today, I think you were so tired because I got off work and wanted to take a nice picture of you since it's your 9th month birthday but you slept and I waited thinking you were gonna wake up but it's late now and you are still sleeping so here is what I was able to take....

When I try to switch something with spencer--like get my cell phone back and give him a toy--he throws it, too. Hahaha, these babies are getting too smart for their own good. It's so funny how they know exactly what they want, even at such a young age.
