My 1st Mother's day was great! This morning we woke up super early and got all ready and attended Danny's parents ward. Both Danny and Malik didn't want to get up that early and I almost didn't go because I had a severe migraine and didn't feel good at all. It felt as if I had no energy in me. But despite not feeling well, we attended their ward. Malik got ready for church first.

Their sacrament program was really nice and it was just great to be with family on this wonderful day. As I was sitting on my seat during sacrament meeting, I was reflecting on years passed. Who would have known that I was gonna be a mother? Time had truly passed by fast. Then the primary children got up and sang a really nice song and Kehau(Danny's mom) took Malik up to the stage and was holding him as the children sang the song. I had to really fight it and looked away so I would not cry. Just looking at my son up there with the primary kids singing just brought so much emotion to me. He looked so cute with his little suit and he was smiling as if he knew that the kids around him were singing. It all became so real to me then that I HAVE A SON! I would never forget the great feeling that came over me. And for a split second, I had forgotten that I wasn't feeling well. I just have so much love for my Heavenly Father for the great plan of happiness and the trust that he had given me and Danny to raise Malik up in this life....just precious...
Right after sacrament, I met with so many old friends that I hadn't seen in quite sometimes. But I was especially surprised to see my cousin, Mele Hansen(used to be Haunga). She lives in Hawaii with her family but was up here in Utah for a wedding. It was good to run into her.

We got home and Danny made me a lovely breakfast. After breakfast, Danny and Malik took a nap while I prepared my relief society lesson. At our ward today, they handed out roses for the all the mothers in the ward which I thought was very nice. After church, I came out to the car and as soon as Danny opened my door I noticed beautiful red roses laying on the seat with a card. I got into the car and I opened the card and it was from Malik and Danny (see above). It totally brought tears to my eyes. Thanks to Danny and Malik, they made my 1st mother's day very special. Then, I found out later that Danny went back to Walmart after we came home last night and purchased them and took it to Jeff Vaenuku's house and he left during sunday school to go grab them. What a thoughtful husband huh? I love you hun... We got home and we were so tired so we all went to sleep until 3am. But below, are pictures of Malik and what he got me for my 1st mother's day. Thank you so much son.
